2D1N BATAM GETAWAY!
The players: Calene, Liwei, Shikai, Chuheng and Myself .
It was quite a last minute planned trip .
Tickets were bought only like 3 days before our departure .
I even had that, if-resorts-are-all-fully-booked-then-we-will-just-stay-put-in-singapore-attitude .
but i did kept my fingers crossed .
But oh well, everything turn out fine with just the right combination of players .
okay, calene was the extraordinary one because she kept saying this, " i want to take colour accent of the swimming pool! blue colourrrrrrrrrrrrrrr one . "
Shouldn't had brought mother her out.
HAHA!
We all gathered at the mrt station @ 6.45am .
Took a train down to habourfront then did all the administrative work first .
Shikai bought this damn nice limited edition vodka .
The wrap of the vodka really rawks!!
MASQUERADE MASKS CONCEPT .
I love the outer to bits, but i lacked the balls to did what he actually did for the love of the bottle .
HAHAHA!
Waited for the penguin ferry before we boarded .
Choose the upper seat instead .
Luckily, it was a wiser choice to be situated at the top without air-con .
I'm a weakling whom will suffer from sea sick or anything associating with motion sickness .
Therefore, if i'm situated at the bottom .
Please spell, MAHHH-BOHHHHHH .
(dizzy spell for those whom can't figure out the meaning)
The whole journey to batam took about an hour .
Clearing of custom at batam was slow .
When we arrived, the coach welcomed us and we followed the tour guide for a day's tour .
The first destination - the temple .
A huge chinese temple with humongous statues and figurines .
Offer our prayers before we set off for the second destiantion .

The second destination - Barelang Fisabililah Bridge
The claimed it to be the biggest bridge that linked the islands together .
The tour guide only gave us 10 mins for photos taking .
That's what i hate most about following a tour .
Everything's in a rush!

The third destination - dry local market .
Where they sell batam's dry foodstuffs .
Keropok and all .
I spent SGD24 just like that .

The forth destination - Golden Prawn 555 .
Claimed to be the best for their seafood .
But the taste and quality of the food that i consumed doesn't lived up to its praises .
Well, sometimes comments on forum or the net varies for each individuals .
After lunch, we had some wayang entertainment show .
As usual, tipping is a must!
Like always in thailand and indonesiaaaaaaaaaa .

The fifth destination - The RL Shop
Where they sell much cheaper RL polos compare to singapore .
I swore the time given was damn short .
Like within 15 minutes, i need to whack so many stuffs for my family and friends .
I really had a hard time .
Luckily, i managed to settle some of the items on the list .

The sixth destination - Massage!
It was a full body massage that comes with a full body scrub .
Clothes and bras were asked to be taken off .
THEN THE REST IS HISTORY ....
But after the massage, my whole body felt great .
My clean feets start breathing healthy again :)

The seventh destination - Nagoya Hill
A shopping paradise for calene only .
I can't seemed to find any appropiate top for myself .
Liwei and myself hunt high and low but got nothing in the end .
As for calene, her moolahs wasn't sufficient .
Therefore, shikai was her loanshark for the whole trip .
Poor chuheng only followed around and all he asked for was, food .
LOL
The tour ended about 5 plus and the we were brought to resort .
It was 35 mins away from the city and the tour guide told us that it isn't fantastic .
HMMM ....
All of us really wondered how SIJORI RESORT will look liked .
1) the staffs were friendly .
2) the rooms and the receptionist counter measures a distance from a hill top all the way to the hill foot .
(walking and climbing of stairs are needed!)

3) the rooms are big and spacious .
4) having breakfast in the morning requires a bus to drive us down the steep slope .
5) the resort has a nice swimming pool that i've yet to see anyone swimming in there because a fee of SGD2.50 is require .
FYI, they love SGD .
Everywhere we go, they will ask for SGD .
The whole SGD currency incident irks calenem, liwei and myself alot .
Oh ya, the massage that we had required us to pay in SGD32 .
If you wish to pay in rupiah, its also acceptable .
However, the rate of the currency will be higher to their advantage .
Therefore, in any currency they will gain!
Sometimes, i really want to scold F-U-C-K right into their face whenever they ask for SGD or they press SGD currency on their calculator to tell us an item's price .
Like if your so hard up for SGD currency, please roll yourself to singapore and work lah!
There's even this bad incident that we encountered that made me felt that batam's a damn dishonest country whenever money comes in concern .
This it how it goes .
We knew this guy thru our tour guide, his our bus coach .
After he alighted us, we asked if he would be interested to drive us up and down to our destination .
He was so friendly and willing to help out .
However, we did quote a price to pay for his service .
Calene communicated with him in malay .
She asked if 20,000 rupiah (SGD 3) was fine with him .
Initially, he told us to get on the van first .
However, i insisted calene to quote him a price and he has to agree before we board .
The man did .
However at the end of the whole trip, that donkey stunned us .
He asked for 200,000 rupiah instead .
Which is equivalent to SGD30 bucks!
It is 10 times the amount quoted and he kept insisting that he did say 200,000 rupiah .
We weren't quite a pushover, therefore that fucker agreed to settle with 100,000 rupiah instead .
ASSHOLE, isn't he?!
Ah, take it like a donation to the poor charity lah .

On the lighter note, i bought quite alot of Polo stuffs for my loved ones and myself .
I won't mind going there just for the Polo stuffs once again .
We were lucky that they were having 50% sales .
MOST IMPORTANT OF IT ALL .
I GET TO EAT A&W !
