THE LONG AWAITED BANGKOK'S UPDATE!

This bloody post took up like almost 2 days of my entire life!
Just the collaging of the huge megabytes photos was already a killer .
Still having to recall the series of events that happened, was a chore .
So just enjoy what's here and what's not (:

CAUTION: HEAVY IMAGES

DAY ONE

The flight to bkk was scheduled to depart at 7.10 am .
My family members were indeed sweet .
Despite having their own work commitment later in the noon, they never failed to send me off .
Arrived at terminal one about 5.30am .
It was damn early, i reckoned .
Didn't slept much the night before .
I guess i was pretty excited about the whole trip!
Checked in and had our breakfast there .
AND
Not forgetting the usual warnings from our dear elderly .
" Remember not to stay out so late "
" Be close with one another "
" Must bargain with them "
" Passport must be kept properly at all times "
" Lock the hotel room when your sleeping
"
Soon, it was time to take our leave .
I was feeling rather sad because it's like the first time i'm leaving overseas w/o my dear irritating sister .
I felt something missing .
She wasn't able to join us due to her upcoming examinations .
We are definitely not the last to board the plane, but most of the people were already onboard .
Ready to depart .
Bangkok, here i come ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Photobucket

Those last mintue shots before boarding the plane .
Enthu, we were .

Photobucket

The cam-whoring syndrom that we can't get enough off!

Photobucket

Photobucket

2 hours later, we arrived in bangkok!
It was a short flight .
However, there's this big turbulence that occurred when the plane was taking off .
I seriously, hate the butterfly feeling in me .
Like for a moment, your heart really stop beating for a second .
Then i'll suffer form this Mahhhh-bohhhhh syndrom .
Afterall, thailand airport ain't that ulu as i thought .
Saw all the happy faces?
Yes! we indeed were .
With just only one thought in mind .
" TO WHACK THEIR CHEAP SHOPPING BUYS! "

Photobucket

The initial plan after our arrival in bkk was to be pick up by the hotel's driver .
However, there were some miscommunication that the driver didn't came .
Our faces gave away that we were lost .
Then we met this thai lady whom was helpful and friendly .
She told us that it will be better if we were to take a cab down to our hotel .
It will roughly cost about 400 baht or so .
With a rouge estimation of the cab's fare, at least we won't be cheated on the very first day .
But in return, we did signed up with her company for this half day chao phaya river canal tour .
For just 500 baht! (:
Got our cab right outside the airport .
The only thing i could say about the cab was, it's terok lah .
Not only about the seating space, but also the terrible air con .
The ride wasn't smooth at all !
In the middle of our ride, the taxi driver could even stop at the petrol station to top up his fuel .
FYI, the meter didn't stop upon him doing the above mentioned .
Arrived at our hotel, called the bangkok city suite .
The name sounds pretty classy .
i thought ?
But the interior design of the hotel was worst then singapore's any 3 star hotel .
Firstly, the hotel was kinda out of the way .
Along a expressway, to be precise .
Secondly, not many cab drivers know about this hotel's location .
Therefore, we always got a hard time finding the right cabby!
Lastly, the only provision store (7-eleven) is located quite FARRR away from the hotel .
Anyway, no complains though .
As we are paying only 71 sing dollars for 4 nights .
After settling down, we quickly headed out for our first destination .
The weekend market, chatuchak .
The temperature that day was about 29 degree celsius .
It was quite hot and humid .
Chatuchak, do carry stuffs there are nice and uniqueeee .
Ranging from ornament, statue, all the way to our trendy clothings .
Still, it all depend on your hunting skills and also ones preference .

Photobucket

Photobucket

After a few hours of non-stop shopping, all of us couldn't take it no more .
We were all damn HUNGRY !
Settled down at this coffeeshop situated at the weekend market .
We then had chicken rice with satay .
Their chicken's rice soup really deserved a 2 thumbs up .
I think its tastier in anyway .
Sticky, was the only word to described how we all felt .
My makeup was like half dissolved together with my perspiration .
Kesh couldn't withstand that heat that she bought a fan .
Luckily, i was smart to brought along my-battery-operated-fan . (hello kitty one still ok!)
Who knows, what might happen under such circumstances .
i might not even survived the heat and pass out there ?
Hahaha
All in all, we spent about 4 - 5 hours at the weekend market .
We're really the soul survivors lahhhhhhhhh .
It's really darn HUGE .
You can find almost everything thereeeee .

Photobucket

Whenever there's a chance to take a shot, we'll WHIPPED out the camera .
Shagged face, but will never fail to say cheeeeeeeeseeeeee to the camera .

Photobucket

Later in the evening, we headed back to our hotel for a clean wash up .
I was seriously happy with my buys at chatuchak .
Like the skills of bargaining have to always be used .
In thailand, they deal with baht .
Therefore, their 23 baht = our 1 sing dollars .
So if a top happens to cost about 490 baht, we would try to bargain it to about 400 baht .
The least the owner would give will be about 420 baht .
But being a singaporean, we must live up to our names for being GEY GAO .
I could simply settled down with a 420 baht but i'll still insist on 400 baht .
Until in the end, there will only be a sole winner .
Me or the seller ?
Sometimes, it really depends if they desperately want sales or not .
Because if you were to convert their 20 baht into sing dollars .
It will only be less then a dollar .
But it's the kick of deduction, i must say .
HAHAHAHA!

As planned on our itinerary, we were supposed to catch a muay thai match at this lumphini stadium .
It was something that i look forward to in this entire trip .
However, the tickets costs about 2000 baht (around the ringside) .
Which means, 86 sing dollars .
Will you or will you not ?
In the end, we gave the match a miss .
I felt kinda wasted but well .
If i'm in bangkok the next time round, i'll pay for the one-time experience!
And by the way, those whom are into muay-thai has real nice body shape .
So much nicer then our singaporean dragon boat guys .
Whom are 3/4 short, stouty and damn action .
They have this real curvy-wurvy V-shape bodyline .
So far, i've never seen sucha body shape in Singapore yet .
Anyway, we settled down at this restaurant for dinner .
The first meal that we pampered ourself with different kind of delicacies .
Cheappp cheapp ahhhhhhhh .

Photobucket

Thai's mango freeze rocks my damn taste buds!
NICE .
Not forgetting, their all time favourite .
TOM YUM GOONG .
MANGO SALAD .

Photobucket

I think their sticky rice have to be labelled as a MUST-TRY ! (:
Seafood there are really cheap .
We really ordered the food on the menu like kings and queens .
Try doing that in singapore, it will cost you a bomb when you tab the bill .
Here in bangkok, one person could jolly afford a sumptous seafood meal like us!

Photobucket

After our meals, we headed to SUAN LOM night bazzar .
The stuffs there are unique!
Like i say more on the, high end style .
Though a top could cost more then the weekend market but it's really a steal man .
Cos the designs there are like never-seen-before-anywhere .
And it cost only less then 20 sing .
Only if your bargaining skills are good uhh .
So it all depends on whether your willing to spend it or not .
After the night bazzar, we tried to hire a cab back to the hotel but it really took us quite awhile before we got a cab .
Not because there isn't any cab around .
BUT IT'S BECAUSE OF THEIR CORRUPTED TAXI SYSTEM .
Like when it is in the night, the drivers will not charge the fare by metre .
They will start offering prices much more higher .
Like for short distances, they will asked about 100 baht when the actual fare cost about 40 baht ?
I was v fucked up by that .
But was slowly able to accept it when i came to think about the fare that has to be splitted by the 4 of us equally .
That was how we ended our first day .
My legs were already crying out for their traditional thai-massage .
But we planned to only do it when we're done with our massive shopping .
Oh, wells .
In the night, the guys came over to our room .
We had Kahlua for the so-call-successful-trip-celebration .
All thanks to it, that i had difficulty going to sleep .
COFFEEEEEEEE, you see .
( kesh was already snoring her way on the very first night!)

Photobucket

DAY TWO

All of us were scheduled to be ready by 8am .
Then we had our hotel's breakfast .
We were trying hard to strictly abide the itinerary .
So far so good .

See the number of sausages taken on a single plate ?
Mel's the bloody culprit .

Photobucket

After our breakfast, our personal tour guide came along to pick us up for our half day tour .
TO: CHAO PHAYA
He was called PAUL .
A friendly chap that can get along pretty well with us .
And of course able to take up mel's bloody jokes and disturbing .

Photobucket

PAUL was explaining to us the history of the river .
In the past, the river water was as clear as crystal .
But as the people started to throw their rubbish into that river, changes couldn't be done to undone it .
Now the colour of the water is as green as the japanese green tea .

Awaiting for the others and the boat to arrive!

Photobucket

Where the journey begins . .

Photobucket

Photobucket

It shows one of the famous temple in thailand .
I forgot what's the name of it .
I'm only aware that thai's love any of their architecture design to have SHARP edges .

Take a peep at their living conditions .
Terok but they can still live on .
Respect them, pls .

Photobucket

While on the canal journey .

Photobucket

Photobucket

The boat was pull over for a stop .
Where all the vistors were brought to this place for some exciting snake shows .
We went around taking some pictures of the animals they kept .
Mostly were snakes, cobras and monkeys .

Photobucket

If you could see clearly in the picture .
There's tiger, crocodile and this damn huge peacock .
The feather's of the peacock is fucking huge and nice!
We tried scaring the peacock so as to allow it to open its feathers but we failed .
AS PROUD AS A PEACOCK CAN BE, ALWAYS .

Photobucket

Soon, the snake show begun .
We were all sitted very close to the stage .
The man was dealing with 2 cobras in the first item .
Cobras respond only by vibration .

Photobucket

The second item was to squeeze out the venom of the poisonous snake .
They really did it on the spot .
A big, "WOW!"

Photobucket

The man succesful attempt in holding the snake head in his mouth .
I think it's disgusting .
Because i tried touching the snake skin .
The touch send goosebumps all over .
Look into the picture .
The python got damn huge mouth when forced to open .

Photobucket

The black lil thing on kel was a human-monkey look alike .
A baby monkey wearing diapers .
Behaving like a human being .
He snatch kel's pack of ciggs and crush it .
Anyway, for a moment of fun had to be rewarded with tips .
The owner threw the monkey over kel and allowed him to play awhile .
But with a price .
You gotta tip them, they asked .

Photobucket

See the huge buddha statue?
Bigger in reality .
FYI, 95% of the people there believe in buddhism .
This spells why there are 400 temples in bangkok alone and 30,000 of them in the whole thailand .
The tour guide told me so!

Both the guys in the pictures were trying to sell their products .
One was souvenirs, the other was selling coconut ice cream!

Photobucket

We then came to a stop near this temple .
Where all the catfish are damn huge and greedy lah!
The reason for them being so huge because the thais believe that they are not supposed to kill the fishes near the temple .
Instead, feeding them was a wiser choice .
Though we were on the boat, loaves of bread were sold to feed the catfishes .
Practically, the fishes were snatching for food when fed .

Photobucket

The river canal tour ended .
We were then brought around places like jewellery shops, tailor-made suits and carpets stores .
As in those genuine ones .
It was labelled as the most bored event brought by our tour guide .
As in he didn't suggested but it was part of his job .
Because he was explaining to us that as a certified tour guide, he had to bring his tourist to the genuine shops .
As you know that thai are damn famous for their fake stuffs .
Many people were cheated by the mafias there to buy jewellery that don't worth the price they are paying .
That sorta of nonsense they are facing .
Therefore, there was a need for him to bring us there and signed his named to ensured that he did actually brought us there .
Ok, confusing .

Photobucket

We were back at our hotel for some rest .
Then we started our own free and easy trip .
Took a cab to this damn far temple at hualumpong .
The idea was to visit this temple to help those thai people whom doesn't has the money to purchase a coffin when they RIP .
Our purpose there was to donate whatever we could to help the poor ones .
I read the card that stated .
Donate as much as you can .
Then they include that if you were to donate 500 baht (20 over sing dollars), one of the deceased could get a decent coffin and a white cloth over .
I mean the amount sounds reasonable and i'm willing to help (:
A very meaningful charity .

Photobucket

After the donation, we had to settle down for some food .
I suggested for A&W .
Temptations kicking!
With the help of the mrt service crew and of course the handy map, we slowly made our way to Plantip Plaza!
A place where all their IT stuffs reside .
Their skytrains are high-tech ok .

Photobucket

A&W here i come!
The only fastfood i missed .
Years since i last had them ?
I bet many singaporeans are like me .
I still remember when i was younger, i used to always have A&W every saturday morning .
The one beside the bedok library .
Sadly, gone for good .

Root Beer Float is love!
Curly fries is shiok-ness!

After which, we made our way to platinum fashion mall .
That place is hellya shopping paradise .
From top to bottom, shoes to heels .
Leaving there empty handed is a big nono !
Girl's paradise, i reckon .
However, it's still too big to be settled in a single day .
A major shopping spreeee, baby .

Misunderstandings come and go .
Mind need to be cleared .
Hearts gotta be neutral and fair .

Photobucket

DAY THREE

The same old varieties for breakfast!
Sausages and more of it .
See that sleeply faces of us ?

REALLY NOT ENOUGH SLEEP AHHH .

Photobucket

Started our day with 2nd round of platinum fashion mall .
Had a plan to finish walking the whole mall before we move on to the other ones .
It's much better then far east plaza .
The cost of one top cost about 5 - 10 .
But if you were to purchase them in wholesale, you can get a cheaper price!
But remember to always bargain .
We did and never failed! =)

Photobucket

I don't know how and why mel wrote my name on the carrier and told me to gave that post with it .
We had lunch at the foodcourt situated at platinum mall .
The guys had KFC .
The chicken is sooo different from singapore .
Juicy and tastier !
It comes together with rice serving as well .
As for kesh and me, we had their traditional thai food .
Their oyster served on hot plate, must try!

Photobucket

After lunch, kesh had to buy DUNKIN DONUTS no matter how full she was .
She claimed that later in the night we can have it .
The crave of donuts in me, got low low low low .

Photobucket

See how congested the roads were ?
But i can tell you, though they are not safe drivers on road .
But their accident rates are low .
As in if they were to cut from lane to lane like nobody's bussiness .
I guess they are adaptable to such situation .
If your in bkk, spot 5 seaters on a single scooter .
Dope!

Khong Thong plaza .
Have this whole stretch of market in there .
Try your luck to find something you like there .
You will (:

Photobucket

See the piping hot corn?!
Looks shiok but we did not buy .
Cos my stomach's too weak for roadside food .

Photobucket

Bangkok's tallest building - Baiyoke Sky Tower .
We paid to get up there .
The maximum or should i say minimum time to wait for the lift was 5 mins!
The lift shoot all the way up to the 77 floor .
I got height phobia as the lift gets higher .
But the view of the entire thailand gets wider .
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L .

Photobucket

The entire thailand under our bird's eye view .
See their curvy wurvy expressways .

Photobucket

Photobucket

They played the trishaw rider, we were their passengers .
By the way, the hat was own by kel .
Just nice for a perfect picture .

Photobucket

Spot mel's retarded face .
Check the real tuk-tuk out .

Photobucket

See all the vintage stuffs ?
Damn ol' school .
They really displayed almost everything that belongs to the 60's .
I love this collage .
Everyone's so natural .
Except, the one on the poo-ing pot .

Photobucket

Well, where the nonsense came knocking in us .
We were playing with the mirror effect .
People were looking at how retarded we were .
But who cares ?
We are in overseas now, so no point to be malu about!
Damn typical .

Photobucket

Poor kesh, the most obscence hand signs .
I love the effects and the combinations .

Photobucket

Oh ya, with the entrance tickets that we bought .
We were given free drinks at their 83th floor lounge .
Damn shiok!
The view was nice and the place was relaxing .

Photobucket

The curious us went all the way to the top for a breath-taking scene of the whole bangkok .
Woot!
Powerrrr .
But i think bangkok has this very messy layout of buildings .

Photobucket

The next stop was to Mah Boon Khrong .
This shopping centre has this very unique name that the 4 of us couldn't stop using MBK as a description .
Every single little thing we say, we will definately include MBK .
Like for instance, if we were to drink in the night before we turn in .
We will always say, " eh dun drink until Mah Boon Khrong leh "
Though it has no special meaning, but we somehow find it funny .
It's like a part of us .

Anyway, we decided to hop on a tuk-tuk for some hell experience!
It's damn thrilling man .
Kesh and me was hell scared .
Screaming our lungs out when the driver tried doing some stunts .
Like when the traffic light was in red, he will turn off his engine .
And when it was time to move on, he will turn on the engine then gave a very swift start up by pulling the handle up .
It's like your galloping on a motor-horse .
Then he will go from left to right and vice versa .
Entertaining .

FYI, thailand traffic lights are patience-tester .
Their waiting for their red light can be as long as 189 secs !!

Photobucket

Afterall, we reached MBK safe and sound .
FUN .
MBK doesn't has much stuffs that deserved to be bought .
As most of the prices had been increased for being a tourist attraction .
We only went there for their supermarket and their local buys for home!
I really whacked their packets and packets of maggie mee like no ones bussiness .
If only i could carry home, a year supply .
HAHAHAH!

Photobucket

Wonder what's this picture telling ?
I'll tell you .
We came across this shop that provide the serivce of giving you the type of boobs you hope for .
Ranging from 300 sizes .
Damn funny lah if you were to look into details .
BLOCK BUSTERS .

Photobucket

See the wordings on the card ?
It was given by the tuk-tuk driver .
He wanted to recommend us to the tiger show .
With the card, his trying to tell us the list of show that night .
Their english damn standard .
Boy & Girl Make Love ;
Pussy Drink Beer ;

I wanna laugh siaa!!

Photobucket

After 3 full days of non-stop walking and walking .
A thai massage was badly needed .
Luckily, it was near our hotel .
For 2 hours of full body massage, i paid 250 baht (10 over sing)
Dirt cheap right!
The massage is really damn shiok .
Covered from my toes all the way to my head .
But certain posture that she did to me was pain .
And when the thai lady tried to ' crack ' my bones, she was shocked to hear the sound my bones gave off .
She went like, "aiyoooooo"

Then after the massage, we had donuts and supper in the night together .
Damn sinful .
See the buys we got just from the supermarket itself ?
I was really worried about how are we gonna bring it back to singapore .

I had a goodnight sleep that night after the massage (:

Photobucket

DAY FOUR

Exhausted but still anticipating for more fun!
We went to bonanza plaza .
Shopping was like a daily addiction .

Photobucket

Lucky us, managed to find a decent shop that provided reasonable price manicure and pedicure . They had packages to go along .
Like for example, if you were to do a full service for your hands and feets it will cost about 850 baht (36 over sing) .
The service not only provided full pedi and medi it also provide spa treatment to your feet and hands .
Oh ya, and scrub too!
Well, i'm proud to announce that my guy friends did the same package like us .
See the pictures and it will tell you a thousand words .

Photobucket

The guys are enjoying too!
Dead skins off you gooooo .
Both the guys added colours on their toes .
As for kel, he added colours for his nails as well .

Photobucket

Settled down at this japanese cafe for our lunch .
Showing off our beautiful nails .
Freshly done!

Photobucket

Next we headed to RCA plaza .
For some GO-KART fun .
I think i look like a mer-du-sa with helmet on .
The ride was thrilling!
The whole ride lasted about 8 mins .
Nice experience but i suffered alittle mah-bohhh syndrom after that .
It rained after our game .
That explained why the plastic bag was on our heads .
WE totally didn't care about our image .
No point lah .

Photobucket

Took a cab and we made our way to CHINATOWN .
For our very last good meal in bkk!
The journey there was hell crazy lah .
The jam adds on to the waiting time .
The place that we had our meal served NICE shark fin .
Better then the previous one we had .
With such a big portion it only cost about 10 sing dollars .
Tell me how not to get fat there?!

After our meals, we headed to the patpong night market .
The thief market they call .
It's also the red light district in bkk .
The things there are really damn ex lah .
They wanna ke-tok our money .
We left awhile later because i felt quite unsafe hanging there for long .

By the time, we were all almost broke .
But we still managed to set aside money for the cab fare the next morning .

Photobucket

Back in the hotel .
After we washed up, we had kahlua and malibu drinking session again .
This time round we played games to add on the fun .
See the colourful fingers and toes there ?
We are proud to present you this .
Coloured toes and nails!!
I sometimes do respect the guys for being so-not-shy lah!
HAHAHAH

Photobucket

DAY FIVE

IT'S TIME TO PACKED UP AND GO HOME .

Woked up as early like usual for our last hotel's breakfast .
We then made our way to take the cab .
The cab driver really made our day the past 2 days .
His one funny chap that we couldn't stop laughing at the way he talk .
Click the link and watch the video and you will get what we meant .
I introduced you my new friend, SAM .

Photobucket

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29R-pvTksfk

Ready to depart thai's airport .
Memories will be .
The fun and joy we had .
If given a chance, i'll visit BKK once more .
Wait for me .

Photobucket

When we were really bored onboard .
It's the only way to keep us entertained .

Photobucket

2 hours later, byebyee bangkok!

I'M BACK IN SINGAPORE .

Photobucket

It took me another 5 hours to post this entry .
I'm done now!
Anyway, updates on graduation ceremony and outing with dayah are still on hold!
BUT I MUST ANNOUNCED THAT ...
SEX AND THE CITY
IS A NICE SHOW .
(for girls maybe?)

11:29 PM
